The preparation of the exhaust gases starts by cooling them. In this system of gas cooling, the purpose of cooling the emission gases makes it a lot easier to eliminate pollutants and other toxins from the gas. The evaporative cooler is used to dilute the exhaust gas. When the gas has been cooled, the reagent can be injected already. In this step the harmful components of the gas are removed. Because of their neutralizing properties, components of the dry reagent are generally chosen. The different kinds of powders which are mixed together are then injected at high pressures into the exhaust gas. There are chemical reactions produced when the dry reagents are introduced and this causes the acidity of the gas to be reduced and it also eliminates the harmful pollutants. The used scrubbing powder is then captured through a fabric filter and the cleaned gas goes out of the scrubbing chamber. Sometimes the dry powder can be cleaned for reuse. But since it cannot be washed properly, it has to also be disposed of frequently.
